Craig Erickson draws upon outstanding songwriting abilities, singing and full throttle blues playing. Erickson wails out rowdy roadhouse stomps mixed with slower heartfelt and moody expressions that recall blues greats such as Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

After recording a string of popular heavy blues-rock CDs for Blues Bureau International in the 90's, including the first come back CD for legendary Deep Purple/Trapeze/Black Country Communion singer Glenn Hughes 1994 CD entitled simply “Blues”, with whom Erickson co-wrote the tracks, Erickson went on to record a string of acclaimed records on the Grooveyard, Mascot/Provogue labels among others. Ericskon’s Concert dates in Europe and the USA, include appearances at the Salon De La Musique in Paris and other French venues, Germany, England, etc., as well as two US tours with Glenn Hughes.

In addition, Erickson has been wowing fans at Midwest blues and jam band fests as well as club venues for over the last 20 years and has recorded and/or toured with musicians including Rob Wasserman, Tony Franklin, Richie Kotzen, Greg Martin, Chris Duarte, Darrell Mansfield,T Lavitz, Jeff Sipe, Buddy Miles, and many more in a variety of top-notch musical settings.

In 2012 Craig Erickson returned to the Blues Bureau label delivering a hot new blues rock platter “Cosmic Roadhouse” helped with incredible guitar playing, influenced artists such as Hendrix, Eric Johnson, ZZ Top, Allman Bros, and Johnny Winter. ---shrapnelrecords.com

Blues/funk guitarist Craig Erickson learned to play while working in his father's record store in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He formed his first band at 13, and began playing around the area. Erickson signed a contract with Blues Bureau Intl. in the early '90s, releasing Roadhouse Stomp! in 1992 and Retro Blues Express the following year. Though the albums featured John Onder on bass and Atma Anur on drums, Erickson's regular band -- with which he has supported blues legends such as Koko Taylor, Little Ed & the Blues Imperials, Elvin Bishop and Lonnie Brooks -- includes bassist Al Robinson and drummer Kerri Collings. Erickson recorded Two Sides of the Blues for a 1995 release, and followed up with Force Majeure one year later. He appeared on tribute albums to Stevie Ray Vaughan and Albert King (Hats Off to Stevie Ray, Fit for a King), and also co-wrote and played on Blues, the solo album by Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Trapeze). --- John Bush, allmusic.com
