This superb CD is a prime example of Brazilian jazz, profiting from inspired and excellent musicianship. Nelson Faria and Lincoln Sheib master their instruments, while Nico Assumpcao proves why he was ranked with top players such as John Pattituci. He simply was one of the best in both acoustic and six-strings electric - check also his recordings with Joe Henderson (Double Rainbow), Larry Coryell (In Bahia) and Lee Konitz. We all grief his sudden death in 2000.
