With frequent use of traditional instrumentation, they also tended to diverge from the prevailing programmed and otherwise synthesized sounds of contemporary R&amp;B. On Genesis, McKnight opts to switch it up with modern production stylings, though he's not competing with the stoned, lecherous, younger likes of Bryson Tiller and Ty Dolla $ign here. In fact, the approach resembles that of 2006's Ten, for which McKnight connected with Tim Kelley and Bob Robinson to sound up to date with typically mature songwriting true to his age and experience. McKnight reconnects with Kelley, who serves beside him as co-producer, and the result is similarly positive, with no hint of creative desperation or compromise. Overall, this is more rooted in the electronic-oriented R&amp;B tradition of Kashif and company than, say, an attempt to keep up with mid- to late-2010s hitmakers such as DJ Mustard and Metro Boomin. Just as significantly, McKnight's lyrics and melodies come across as more considered than they did on the latter preceding albums. The usual situations and emotions -- romantic devotion, sexual longing, pleading for commitment, and so forth -- are covered with fresh touches. One of McKnight's best albums, Genesis, also marks 25 years since the singer released his debut. Remarkably, his voice has barely changed since his arrival at the tail-end of the new jack swing era. ---Andy Kellman, AllMusic Review</p> <p>download (mp3 @320 kbs):</p> <p><a href="https://yadi.sk/d/66vaEK0F3XacLZ" target="_blank" onclick="window.open(this.href,'newwin','left=27,width=960,height=720,menubar=1,toolbar=1,scrollbars=1,status=1,resizable=1');return false;">yandex </a> <a href="http://www.mediafire.com/file/rbldububgz5ggf1/BrnMcKnght-G17.zip" target="_blank" onclick="window.open(this.href,'newwin','left=27,width=960,height=720,menubar=1,toolbar=1,scrollbars=1,status=1,resizable=1');return false;">mediafire</a> <a href="https://ulozto.net/!EnJ2Ou7oNXqg/brnmcknght-g17-zip" target="_blank" onclick="window.open(this.href,'newwin','left=27,width=960,height=720,menubar=1,toolbar=1,scrollbars=1,status=1,resizable=1');return false;">uloz.to </a> <a href="https://cloud.mail.ru/public/Auzf/jAucZ1EHL" target="_blank" onclick="window.open(this.href,'newwin','left=27,width=960,height=720,menubar=1,toolbar=1,scrollbars=1,status=1,resizable=1');return false;">cloud.mail.ru </a> <a href="http://ge.tt/6QmjP6q2" target="_blank" onclick="window.open(this.href,'newwin','left=27,width=960,height=720,menubar=1,toolbar=1,scrollbars=1,status=1,resizable=1');return false;">gett</a></p> <p> </p> <p><a href="http://www.theblues-thatjazz.com/javascript:history.back();">back</a></p> <p><strong>Brian McKnight ‎– Genesis (2017)</strong></p> <p><img src="http://www.theblues-thatjazz.com/ObrMuz/Pop/BrianMcKnight/genesis.jpg" border="0" alt="Image could not be displayed. The underrated multi-instrumentalist-and-vocalist’s new songs hardly veer from the sexy, sultry feel of his past work, which has garnered him 16 Grammy nominations over nearly two decades. The best tracks avoid the oh-so-tasteful vibe that has marred some of his studio work. “Temptation’’ evokes Marvin Gaye in both style and content, and it’s McKnight’s best vocal as he recounts the allure of an undeniable woman. “One Mo Time’’ is a blues-inflected cut about a breakup on which McKnight’s supple singing makes the regret and yearning palpable. He flashes his formidable guitar skills on “Husband 2.1’’ - the disc could use more of this musical muscle. All the tunes are artfully arranged and lean; only one exceeds four minutes. This works to his advantage, especially on “Just Me,’’ a lovely ballad, and on the upbeat “Gimme Yo Love.’’ The live disc is an engaging tour through his catalog and choice covers. ---Ken Capobianco, archive.boston.com</p> <p>download (mp3 @ kbs):</p> <p><a href="https://yadi.sk/d/2W_XLW3Atnmt8" target="_blank" onclick="window.open(this.href,'newwin','left=27,width=960,height=720,menubar=1,toolbar=1,scrollbars=1,status=1,resizable=1');return false;">yandex </a> <a href="http://www.4shared.com/zip/yJfGwrhSce/BrnMcKnght-JM11.html" target="_blank" onclick="window.open(this.href,'newwin','left=27,width=960,height=720,menubar=1,toolbar=1,scrollbars=1,status=1,resizable=1');return false;">4shared </a> <a href="https://mega.nz/#!Z4YHFYxD!-h3VhnydyY3qebDI4rPbifikZZdxrJMPEoGnET_WbqE" target="_blank" onclick="window.open(this.href,'newwin','left=27,width=960,height=720,menubar=1,toolbar=1,scrollbars=1,status=1,resizable=1');return false;">mega </a> <a href="http://www.mediafire.com/download/c1oos0o0mfmie75/BrnMcKnght-JM11.zip" target="_blank" onclick="window.open(this.href,'newwin','left=27,width=960,height=720,menubar=1,toolbar=1,scrollbars=1,status=1,resizable=1');return false;">mediafire</a> <a href="http://zalivalka.ru/355227" target="_blank" onclick="window.open(this.href,'newwin','left=27,width=960,height=720,menubar=1,toolbar=1,scrollbars=1,status=1,resizable=1');return false;">zalivalka </a> <a href="https://cloud.mail.ru/public/DDDr/VK6ADtGge" target="_blank" onclick="window.open(this.href,'newwin','left=27,width=960,height=720,menubar=1,toolbar=1,scrollbars=1,status=1,resizable=1');return false;">cloudmailru </a> <a href="http://uplea.com/dl/806869B283D8D9D" target="_blank" onclick="window.open(this.href,'newwin','left=27,width=960,height=720,menubar=1,toolbar=1,scrollbars=1,status=1,resizable=1');return false;">uplea </a></p> <p> </p> <p><a href="http://www.theblues-thatjazz.com/javascript:history.back();">back</a></p> <p><strong> Brian McKnight – Just Me (2011) </strong></p> <p><img src="http://www.theblues-thatjazz.com/ObrMuz/Pop/BrianMcKnight/justme.jpg" border="0" alt="Image could not be displayed.
