The Baseballs are a German rock & roll band that perform contemporary hits in a throwback style reminiscent of 1950s rock. Fashioned with pompadours and sideburns in accordance with its throwback style, the Baseballs are a trio of vocalists named simply Sam, Digger, and Basti; they're backed up by Lars Vegas (guitar), Klaas Wendling (upright bass), Jan Miserre (piano), and Tomas Svensson (drums). Founded in 2007 in Berlin, Germany, the Baseballs made their debut in 2009 with the hit single "Umbrella," a rock & roll version of Rihanna's then-recent smash single. The full-length album Strike! (2009) followed shortly thereafter and was likewise a hit throughout the German-speaking world, reaching the Top Five in Switzerland, the Top Ten in Germany, and the Top 20 in Austria. The album features cover versions of contemporary hits such as Usher's "Love in This Club," Plain White T's' "Hey There Delilah," and Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold." The Baseballs returned in 2011 with their sophomore release Strings 'n' Stripes. Am 28. März 2014 ist es soweit: The Baseballs präsentieren ihr neues Album Game Day! Noch immer schlägt das Herz im Rock’n‘Roll Takt, gekonnt verbinden sie das Beste der Moderne mit den Zutaten der 50er und 60er Jahre! Doch anders als bei den Vorgänger-Alben stehen diesmal neben ausgewählten Cover-Songs die Eigenkompositionen der Drei im Mittelpunkt.

„Die Entscheidung für Game Day vorrangig eigene Songs aufzunehmen, war für uns der nächste logische Schritt. Auch schon vor und während unserer Zeit mit The Baseballs hat jeder von uns Songs geschrieben. In unseren Live-Shows haben wir auch immer häufiger selbstgeschriebenes Material eingebaut und gemerkt, dass das Interesse daran bei den Fans nicht geringer, wenn nicht sogar größer ist, als an neuen Covern. In den letzten 7 Jahren haben wir außerdem so viel erlebt, dass es fast eine Verschwendung wäre, nicht einige Erlebnisse in Songs zu verpacken.

Mit den letzten Alben konnten wir beweisen, dass Rock’n’Roll nichts an Aktualität verloren hat. Mit Game Day zünden wir jetzt die nächste Stufe und wollen den Leuten zeigen, dass wir auch mit eigenen Titeln das gute Laune Feeling des Rock’n’Roll rüberbringen können.“ ---chocolate-music.com

Znany na całym świecie cover band wykonujący współczesne przeboje pop w stylu rockabilly oraz rock 'n roll. Popularność przyniosły zespołowi wydane w 2009 roku single Umbrella (cover piosenki Rihanny) oraz Hot n Cola (cover piosenki Katy Perry).

Debiutancka płyta Strike! szybko wspięła się na szczyty list przebojów w całej europie, a nagrane na niej covery - takich artystów takich jak 50 Cent, Katy Perry, KeSha - ulokowały się w pierwszej dziesiątce najchętniej słuchanych albumów w Europie i za oceanem.

W 2014 roku wydali swoją czwartą płytę nazwaną Game Day, którą udowodnili, że rock’n’roll nie traci nic ze swej ponadczasowości.
